Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Ideas?!!

You are running out of time and still thinking of what to get your mother this mother's day??

Well, I know that this post is a day before Mother's Day, but I have made everything easier for you. I have gathered few stuff below for you to choose from for this special day... It is not necessary supposed to be an expensive gift, Mother's Day gifts should be something very thoughtful and sentimental...

If your mom is a great cook like mine, then the best thing to do is get her her favorite cookbook. My mom loves Nigella Lawson and Ina Garten... Such an amazing, easy, and delicious home cook recipes.

Dessange has this great offer for you and your mother, where your mother gets a facial, hair treatment, and a mani and pedi. While your mom is getting pampered, you get the chance to do a special honey morrocan bath and a blow dry... How amazing is that?   -See their offer Here-

Debenhams, and specifically the cosmetics section, they have a Thank You Mom offer, where you buy a perfume with no specific minimum price and you will get a scratch coupon with some great gifts.

Or you can get her an anti-aging set, from Clarins or Clinique or any of her favorite brands... This Clarins offer I found it in Debenhams too...

Perhaps a beautiful pendant from Damas, Mother's Day 2012 new collection...

Buy a yummy mother's day 'Waheed's cake' -Here- a caramel crunch and red velvet flavour from Cafe Lilou and make this Mother’s Day special, where all the proceeds made will be donated to The Child Care Home. Order your cake on 17715370.

Makeup brushes from M.A.C... Ever since my mom saw the brushes that I have from Sigma -Here-, she fell in love with them. And I think it would be a nice gift to get your mom a good quality makeup brushes that will last her a long time...

Well, that's about it guys, let me know what do you think? and please tell me what did you get your mom on her special day... =)

Gold & Wool

Yesterday my sister called me with some good news; she is coming back to Bahrain for good -woowhooo-. My mood has changed to a festive mood, so I chose a festive olive gold color from M.A.C called the "Immortal Gold". The nail polish is very thick, so it’s easy to get too much polish on the nail even in the first coat. I had to put only two thin coats and the color gets richer, an intense golden shade.

Oh and I just checked Bahrain's weather forecast, so I decided to wear my grey wool cardigan and jeans for lunch since the weather is windy and partly cloudy, unlike the past couple of days it was pretty sunny and warm.

What I'm Wearing:
H&M Cardigan
Top Shop Baxter Jeans

Today's Buys

Since my recent makeup class with The Makeup Manual -See post Here-, me and my hubby's cousin went all crazy for makeup, especially when we saw all the makeup products she has!! So, we decided to go makeup shopping this afternoon...

Before I start on what we did today, I finally bought a gift for my hubby, actually more than one gift. So, buying the gifts for him left me with a reaaally limited liquidity to buy all the things that I have noted down in my makeup list that are supposed to be bought today. But it's okay, I will buy them next month inshallah...

These are some of the things that I bought today, and I am soo excited to apply the eyeshadows tommorrow for my weekend outing... Can't wait for the weekend... =D

P.S: Did you notice how many eyeshadows I bought in one day?? LOOL...

Makeup Lesson

Yesterday was my first time ever to go to a makeup session, and to be more precise, it was with one of my favorite Bahraini makeup blogger The Makeup Manual by Mai Al Moayyed, to know more about Mai please Click Here. Had the best makeup class ever with her, she made everything easier for us and how to keep our makeup simple yet gorgeous... In her 3 hours full basic makeup class, you don’t need any previous makeup knowledge, you will learn all the neccessary basics from A-Z. In her class, we can either sit down and watch and learn, or we bring our own makeup and apply along with her through all the steps... I personally wrote soo many good notes that are new to me so I can empliment them and to buy the products needed.

These are some of the things that was covered in the makeup class, how to properly remove and cleanse our face from makeup, moisturising the face, full explenation of all important brushes and their uses, how to choose the proper foundation and concealer and how to apply and blend it flawlessly, how to highlight and contour the face, how to put a soft daily eye look, and how to clean the makeup brushes. Finally, we got the chance to ask her anything, and she was excited to answer all of our makeup and beauty related questions.

Here are some of the pictures I took before, during, and after the class...

She prepared all the papers for us with all the neccessary makeup tools and cleansers.

My table with my little cuppy cakes note book and hello kitty pen =p

A very small part of the makeup she has... I want them ALL, lol... =$

A small peek in her makeup drawers...

Her M.A.C brushes.. <3

And more brushes, I assume that some of them are Sigma brushes *sigh* -I have a long story with the Sigma brushes, If you are following me on Twitter you would know about my sad story- ... ='(

She also provided us with some mini bites and drinks...

Chocolate dessert, what a lovely girl she is... <3

The mess by the end of the class... =D

I want to share one of the very important thing that I have learned from her that I was sort of clueless about, and I know that probably most of you might know about, which is; I have never thought of cleaning my brushes, since I'm not that much of a makeup girl -But now I'm in love with makeup and willing to learn everything that has to do with it-, so I've always thought that I don't necessary need to clean or wash my makeup brushes. Well it turned out that if you don't take good care of them and clean them at least once a week or once every 2 weeks, all the germs and bacteria may irritate our skin and could casue us allergies and pimples to our face, and ofcourse we don't want that to happen!!! You can check Mai's post about how to clean your brushes Here...

Finally, I had a great makeup learning experience, now I know the full basics for makeup, the tools and techniques, the do's and don't's, and I can't wait to join her upcoming advanced classes... =D
