Laid Back, But Not A Lazy Day

I spent my whole day today at home; I watched TV, called a few of my relatives to stay in touch with them, cooked lunch for my husband, played Yoga with my Wii Fit, changed my polish, and then the rest of the day I was mostly browsing -and shopping- through the net... I actually love it when I'm alone chilling at home, spend some quality time with myself... ;)

Oh and I am working on two coming blog posts about my full of fun day yesterday that might be ready tonight... Stay tuned guys... =D

Scent of A Whoa MAN

This will be a very quick post before I run to my grandmother's house, she cooked for me lunch and I don't want to miss her good food...

Anyways, this perfume 'Rocabar' by Hermès is a truly delightful perfume for men. It has a very unique scent that stays for long hours indeed, it is instantly recognizeable. I personally LOVE it, especially when he wears it on his suit!! Totally recommended...

Gold & Wool

Yesterday my sister called me with some good news; she is coming back to Bahrain for good -woowhooo-. My mood has changed to a festive mood, so I chose a festive olive gold color from M.A.C called the "Immortal Gold". The nail polish is very thick, so it’s easy to get too much polish on the nail even in the first coat. I had to put only two thin coats and the color gets richer, an intense golden shade.

Oh and I just checked Bahrain's weather forecast, so I decided to wear my grey wool cardigan and jeans for lunch since the weather is windy and partly cloudy, unlike the past couple of days it was pretty sunny and warm.

What I'm Wearing:
H&M Cardigan
Top Shop Baxter Jeans

Hair Spa

Last week I discovered a new hair saloon in Seef Mall called Hair Spa, I was soo happy for the idea of having a hair salon located inside malls!! Hair Spa is located in the first floor in Seef Mall, they do all kinds of blow drys, hair cuts, hair mask treatments, and also threading; it's a one-stop-shop after running your errands in the mall or after a long shopping day.

So, me and my friends decided to check it out and get pampered.

My friend Mahati reading Glamour magazine and getting her hair done...

Spotted, Morrocan Oil products are used in their services... <3

Big jars are filled with colorful liquid shampoos, and the small ones are for hair masks with different scents... I used the milk & honey mask and the pumpkin shampoo. Yummy scents...

Inside the big jar... =)

In case you're wondering what's in the picture above!! It's hard shampoo that looks exactly like soap, they last for about 30 days...

Hair Spa's quote: 'We don't cut, we don't color, we just blow', but they do hair cuts, hair treatments, and also threading; which makes it even better!!

Today's Buys

Since my recent makeup class with The Makeup Manual -See post Here-, me and my hubby's cousin went all crazy for makeup, especially when we saw all the makeup products she has!! So, we decided to go makeup shopping this afternoon...

Before I start on what we did today, I finally bought a gift for my hubby, actually more than one gift. So, buying the gifts for him left me with a reaaally limited liquidity to buy all the things that I have noted down in my makeup list that are supposed to be bought today. But it's okay, I will buy them next month inshallah...

These are some of the things that I bought today, and I am soo excited to apply the eyeshadows tommorrow for my weekend outing... Can't wait for the weekend... =D

P.S: Did you notice how many eyeshadows I bought in one day?? LOOL...

Makeup Lesson

Yesterday was my first time ever to go to a makeup session, and to be more precise, it was with one of my favorite Bahraini makeup blogger The Makeup Manual by Mai Al Moayyed, to know more about Mai please Click Here. Had the best makeup class ever with her, she made everything easier for us and how to keep our makeup simple yet gorgeous... In her 3 hours full basic makeup class, you don’t need any previous makeup knowledge, you will learn all the neccessary basics from A-Z. In her class, we can either sit down and watch and learn, or we bring our own makeup and apply along with her through all the steps... I personally wrote soo many good notes that are new to me so I can empliment them and to buy the products needed.

These are some of the things that was covered in the makeup class, how to properly remove and cleanse our face from makeup, moisturising the face, full explenation of all important brushes and their uses, how to choose the proper foundation and concealer and how to apply and blend it flawlessly, how to highlight and contour the face, how to put a soft daily eye look, and how to clean the makeup brushes. Finally, we got the chance to ask her anything, and she was excited to answer all of our makeup and beauty related questions.

Here are some of the pictures I took before, during, and after the class...

She prepared all the papers for us with all the neccessary makeup tools and cleansers.

My table with my little cuppy cakes note book and hello kitty pen =p

A very small part of the makeup she has... I want them ALL, lol... =$

A small peek in her makeup drawers...

Her M.A.C brushes.. <3

And more brushes, I assume that some of them are Sigma brushes *sigh* -I have a long story with the Sigma brushes, If you are following me on Twitter you would know about my sad story- ... ='(

She also provided us with some mini bites and drinks...

Chocolate dessert, what a lovely girl she is... <3

The mess by the end of the class... =D

I want to share one of the very important thing that I have learned from her that I was sort of clueless about, and I know that probably most of you might know about, which is; I have never thought of cleaning my brushes, since I'm not that much of a makeup girl -But now I'm in love with makeup and willing to learn everything that has to do with it-, so I've always thought that I don't necessary need to clean or wash my makeup brushes. Well it turned out that if you don't take good care of them and clean them at least once a week or once every 2 weeks, all the germs and bacteria may irritate our skin and could casue us allergies and pimples to our face, and ofcourse we don't want that to happen!!! You can check Mai's post about how to clean your brushes Here...

Finally, I had a great makeup learning experience, now I know the full basics for makeup, the tools and techniques, the do's and don't's, and I can't wait to join her upcoming advanced classes... =D

Before we leave the shop, I saw this beautiful dress on one of the mannequins and I instantly fell in love with ,,,,,,,,,,, A Diane Von Furstenberg Teresia dress... I tried it on..... My 2011 Favorite Products

Well hello everyone, I know I am almost one week late for this post. This is supposed to be a post about my favorite beauty products that I used for almost the whole year -2011- and I am still in love with them and use them almost everyday... =)

Let's start:

'Shea Butter' Lip Butter from Bath & Body Works, it is so far my favorite lip balm ever, it hydrates my lips and gives it a plumpy look -due to my small lips-, I also use it before applying any lipstick on...

Airy Fairy lipstick by Rimmel; a light pink nude color. It has a really nice finish, kind of creamy. It's very wearable and natural, which I use almost everyday. It also suits almost all skin tones.

M.A.C Plush Lash Mascara, is my all time favorite mascara, it defines my lashes perfectly and gets to the roots and seperates them nicely, and just make them look thicker and gives it more of a volume. In my opinion, it's not like any other mascaras, where some of them give you long lashes with dramatic look. Plush Lash's purpose is a more of a natural look.

Max Factor Flawless Perfection Blush '215 Sable'; it's a sheer Bronzy-ish soft blusher. My all time favorite blush... <3

Cocktail on The Beach #12 eyeshadow palette by Sephora. It contains all of my favorite shades for a natural simple look.

Slave To Love by M.A.C. It's a beautiful cocoa powdery color blush, that has a matte finish with zero shimmer, and my favorite for this season. I mostly use this blush as a contoring tool as well!! very beautiful...

Cocoa Butter Formula by Palmer's, a firming lotion which also softens your skin... This lotion is mostly used after pregnancy and weight loss, but I use it because it really does make a difference after you apply it; softer and tighter skin... You can find it in any pharmacy...

Revlon 'Ocean Breeze' Scented nail polish, it has this metalic blue/green-ish color that I loooove... Although the scent fades within two to three days, but who cares, the color is amazing... =)
